Let's Play Nordhold. Gameplay. Tutorial. Walkthrough. In this Let's Play video, you will see me play Nordhold (Full Release). Nordhold is a Roguelite Tower Defense Survival Strategy Game with City Building elements. This game reminds me of "Creeping Dusk", "Catalismo", "Diplomacy Is Not An Option", "Kingdom Rush", "Darfall", and "Tower Factory". Your job is to defend a small city. You'll need to manage your population and workers carefully to collect basic resources used to build and upgrade your town and importantly Towers to defend the city gate. There are two phases to the game. Economics Phase and Defense Phase. Economics Phase is when you spend your resources to upgrade your town, hire workers, and build towers. You enter the Defense Phase when you click on the explore button that initiates waves of enemies rushing towards your Town Gate. Your Gate has a certain amount of life points. You lose when the health of your Gate is destroyed. Build towers to kill the enemies. Like many Tower Defense games you are given a variety of towers to choose from and upgrade. Strategic placement is the key. The Terrain offers an elevation mechanic as well. The higher the tower is the more range you will get. This is a Roguelite game, so you will earn meta progression upgrade points (Honor) for completion of waves and at the end of the run. You can spend these Honor points during a game session that can apply the bonus immediately. It will permanently apply also for future runs. At the end of a run, you can spend the points in the main menu before starting a new run. It's a very addictive game with that one more run element to it. I highly recommend getting this game.
